E-commerce: Online Grocery Store
Project details
Description
Situation
Corazon Latino, a store located in Kamloops, BC, had its own online store, but the owner wasn't entirely happy with its design. Knowing that an e-commerce business demands significant financial and human resources, the owner partnered with another store in Vancouver to help cover expenses and expand product distribution. Then, they contacted me to enhance the e-commerce
Task
My task was to develop the website , ensure seamless synchronization between the website and the physical store, and provide strategic digital marketing advice to attract other potential customers.
Action
To achieve this, I leveraged my expertise to build the e-commerce. My actions, included optimizing the site's structure and content for SEO, implementing a strategy to synchronize inventory, and integrating secure payment gateways. To better understand the target audience and how they search for Latin American products online, we conducted research that directly influenced the branding decision, leading to the "Mexican Groceries" domain name.
Result
During its launch among existing customers, the site achieved a 95% acceptance rate, based on Mailchimp survey data. E-commerce sales have since increased significantly, and the site has organically reached other cities, evidenced by growing chatbot interactions and expanded web presence.
